Bhrigu Lake is a mythological lake, as a result, trekkers find it very intriguing. It's after all named after the famous saint Maharishi Bhrigu. It changed into believed that Bhrigu sat in deep meditation. The lake plenty to offer as it has the prettiest grasslands.
To input an alpine meadow in our country, one has to regularly spend as a minimum one or two-day trekking within the tree line. We are talking of two or three days of difficult ascent. This is because most alpine meadows begin at around 3,350 meters, above the tree line.
However, on Bhrigu Lake Trek, you are inside the meadows in the first 10 minutes of this trek! Imagine having meadows such as these right here in your backyard. No surprise we move crazy over landscapes is visible in places like Switzerland.
The journey starts from Manali mall road, at the Rohtang Pass Road toward the little hill nook hamlet of Gulaba Road head. Three hill towns—Kolang, Palchan, and Kothi mark the way, and it gets more and more stunning with pine forests as we start our trek. Snow-covered elevations surround the little locale picturesquely. Sweet grasslands washed over with the aid of the watercourse of Beas would make extremely good frames at Gulaba, best if the Rohtang transit crowd wasn’t there.
It will take almost 2/3 hours to the Jonker Bugyal Base Camp where you may see the grasslands. This trek is hard-earned wherein the adrenaline rush is next level. The grasslands will trap your attention as you'll be so awestruck by way of beauty. Overnight stay in the Jonker Bugyal camp
Today we start our trek, for Rola Khuli camp. It’s going to be a steep walk till the camp,so you need to go prepared with water and little snacks.
You will pass via lots of oaks-cedars forests. There are 20 mines hiking leaving behind the forest and the green vigorous grassy field will start unfolding
You could discover a few mud huts and camp poles lying here. You can observe the peak of Hanuman Tibba and the famous seven sister’s peak. One cannot miss watching the spell bounding valley of Beas Kund Next comes another moderate jungle cover, passing which the path falls directly to the rugged meadows again. The thrill climaxes when the path gets narrower and steeper just earlier than getting into the grasslands of Rola Kholi. At about 15 to 20 minutes far from attaining the campsite, we will be crossing Nallahs and Streams. Our camp is about close to chor Nallah at the Rola Kholi campsite.
Watch out for the night sky for zillion stars! You can do astrophotography. Overnight stay in Rola Kholi camp
Wake up early in the morning as we will hike throughout a distance of approximetly10 km. 7-8 hours trek on a completely steep and stony path. The meadows' appearance is so dreamy that this can catch everyone’s attention, in particular, the photographers. The clean wind in the mountain is impressive. Till June, Rola Khuli may be covered in snow.
On the ultimate leg of the trail, it’s noticeably advisable to go sluggish and no longer hurry at all as the path is ridden with scree and slippery boulders. The alpine lake becomes seen between the 2 ridges that we reach the end of the final boulder-bound lap. The lake is named after the famous saint Maharishi Bhrigu. It has plenty of mythological stories related to ancient myths. Spectacular peaks like Pir Panjal Range and Dhauladhar range are we able to see from the surroundings of the lake. Back to Rola Khuli camp overnight stay in camp.
After breakfast – We will start our trek to base camp through the green meadows of Gulaba which would take 2- 3 hours. From there we start our next journey to Manali by Taxi, will reach the Manali bus stand in between 4:30 pm.
