Itinerary

  • Day 01
    Pickup and Transfer to Sankri from Dehradun Railway Station
    • Total Distance: – 210 km
    • Altitude: 1920 Meters

    We will start our Journey from Dehradun Railway Station to Sankri. After 1/2 an hour, we will stop for kempty fall (if time permits). Have breakfast there and meet your co-trekkers from different parts of the world. We can stop there for maximum 1 hour. Ahead the peaks are visible and similarly, you may come close to holy Yamuna River. If you want, then take a short break of 20 minutes and revel in being around it. Further, you may go to the small markets of Nainbagh, Damta, and Naugaon.

    Reach Purola round 1:30 pm and we will have our lunch. After having lunch proceed to Sankri via Jarmola. From there the back of the Kedarkantha peak is visible. Go through the picture perfect zig-zag road surrounded by pine forest at Jarmola

    Reach Mori and after 1 hour you reach a post. They will ask for Aadhaar cards and a few other details. Ahead lies Sankri, revel in the pressure and the wait is quickly going to be over. Reach to Sankri, trekkers paradise and the main market.

    Check-in to the Hotel, freshen up and enjoy evening snacks and tea/coffee within the open terrace with top-notch views. You might be supplied with some info after which you may go for a night walk but be at the hotel for dinner.

    Trek from Sankri to Taluka and same day trek to Cheludgad camp
    • Altitude: 6,455 ft (1,967 m) to 8,160 ft (2,487 m) via 6,916 ft (2,108 m)
    • Time taken: 5-6 hours. 12 km to Taluka by car + 10 km to Chillurgad bt hiking
    • Trek gradient: Easy-moderate. Gradual ascent throughout on a well- defined trail
    • Water sources: Carry sufficient water. You can refill your water bottles in the river along the trail

    Post breakfast, Ready to all trekkers we are able to drive closer to Taluka on the manner beautiful woodland many species of tree, Taluka is a small village with concrete houses and you could easily locate a few shops and Dhabas there. Trek starts off evolved from Taluka and the sight of dazzling snow-clad mountains accompany you all alongside the manner.

    Trek to Har Ki Dun Camp from Cheludgad camp
    • Altitude: 8,160 ft (2,487 m) to 9,922 ft (3,024 m)
    • Time taken: 6-7 km each, 3 to 4 hours
    • Trek gradient: Easy
    • Water sources: Carry 2 litres of water from Cheludgad Camp. You can refill your water bottles in the river along the trail

    Today After breakfast start your trek from Cross the Supin River see the lift hand side stunning Osla village – Cheludgad to Har Ki Dun. you can choose a steep climb because it is a shorter route. The trail takes you via dense forest where you could easily observe fallen trees en route. This region is highly rich in flora and fauna, so you can enjoy different types of trees and animals in this region.

    Cross flowing streams and trek by the riverside. The meadows with delicious mountain views open up however ahead the direction changes to muddy.

    Ahead pass bridges, come upwards and a waterfall comes into sight. Come across many streams on the way which you'll be crossing with the help of boulders.   • Day 04
    Exploration Day: Trek to Har Ki Dun valley back to camp
    • Altitude: 9,922 ft (3,024 m) to 11,700 ft (3,566 m) and back
    • Time taken: 14 km – 6/7 Hours journey
    • Trek gradient: Moderate – difficult. Steep ascent for about 4 hours to reach Hemkund Sahib and steep descent all the way back.
    • Water sources: Carry 2 litres of water from Camp. You can refill your water bottles in the river along the trail

    Wake up early and have a look at Supin River with the gushing water sounds. After breakfast, explore the pristine Har Ki Dun valley, there are endemic alpine flowers covering the grassy field with alpine trees.

    Then, a grassy field unfolds and majestic views of snow-capped mountains can be the feast for the eyes, as we climb higher experience the vigorous green valleys and views of Jamdar Glacier and Swargarohini Peak and Hata Peak

    Manida Lake: Manida Lake is 3 km far away from the valley. Take left from the campsite then trek towards Hata top and come across undulating meadows with many wildflowers. Reach the Lake, Brahma Kamal’s and fan kamal, laser, are observed in abundance there and the glaciers and valley perspectives are exotic.

    Jaundhar Glacier: If you need to go to Jaundhar glacier, 7 km far from the Har Ki Dun valley. Then you need to cross some ridges, the trail isn't a clean one and remains blanketed in snow but in advance, it eases.

    After attaining the final ridge you'll see the Jaundhar Glacier and other towering peaks, then we’ll return back to the campsite and enjoy scrumptious evening snakes, Soup and Dinner playing bonfire and overnight live there.

    Trek to Cheludgad camp from Har Ki Dun Via Osla Village

    • Trek gradient: Easy

    After breakfast with packed lunch, the trek starts for Cheludgad camp through village OSLA which lies thirteen km away. Relish the beautiful sights and variety of landscapes on the way. Black Peak and Bali Pass points of interest will surprise you ahead.

    OSLA, it's miles a famous village rich in stunning subculture and there is a temple of “Someswar Mahadev” constructed in historic architecture. Villagers accept as true with that he lived in this village and worship him.

    At this village spend time and return on your campsite Cheludgad. Enjoy your food and stay in tents there.

    Trek from Cheludgad to Taluka and Drive to Sankri

Necessary Items for trekkers
  • Backpack (50 to 60 liters)
  • A strongly built backpack with good support is compulsory for a trek. (Rain cover is important)
  • Sturdy Trekking Shoes
  • The shoes should be strong enough with good support. The people ask if sports shoes would be comfortable but it is good to bring the right trekking shoes.
  • Trek Pants
  • The jeans are never suitable for a trek so you need at least 2-3 trek pants for treks carry more for longer treks.
  • Jacket
  • Jackets are very important to carry on a trek it protects you against the chilly weather. So carry 2 jackets on a week long trek.

  • Carry warm woolen layers or fleece. Carry more layers during winter season (at least 2 to 3) and less during summer.
